MINI DRUGSTORE HAUL!

Hello Lovelies!!

I have a super mini drugstore haul to show today, it isn't anything really exciting but I thought it would be fun to still show. I will actually be posting a few hauls within the next couple of days, I've been doing a bit of online shopping, and I'm sure my mailman is ready for it to stop haha!

My haul:

Herbel Essences Naked Volume Shampoo. I honestly just really needed some shampoo so I grabbed this one because I saw that it was paraben free, and it also smelled really nice.

A pack of cotton rounds; I cannot live without these things, I use them for my toner and removing my eye make up.

Chapsticks!! Ok is anyone else absolutely obsessed with chapsticks??? I always have to get a bunch because I use them constantly, and lose them constantly! It also doesn't help that my toddler always runs off with them as well!
From left to right:
Softlips Cube in Fresh Mint
Burt's Bees
Chapstick Hydration
EOS in coconut milk (This smelled bad to me, I ended up tossing it after one use. Did anyone else's smell like that?)
Lypsel - this one is my absolute favorite chapstick it always does it's job and actually hydrates my lips.

elf items:

Nail Polish Remover Pads in Citrus Scent - These smell pretty good, they aren't as moist as I want them to be, they actually feel kind of dry but you only need one per hand.
elf studio flat top brush
elf essential eyeshadow brush x2
elf essential smudge brush x2
elf essential blending eye brush x2
elf essentials concealer brush

Overall, even though it was a mini haul, it was all stuff that I needed and it was rather cheap, which is always nice ;)

Thank you!

URBAN DECAY ELECTRIC PALETTE REVIEW + THREE LOOKS!

Hello Lovelies!

Ever since I laid my hands on the Urban Decay Electric Palette I have been absolutely obsessed with it! I know it sounds and looks a bit scary, but you can actually do quite a few not so 'crazy' looks! The colors are beautiful and definitely pop, and just like all of the other Urban Decay shadows, the shadows are super pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. I love the packaging of the palette as well, it reminds of The Color Run Marathon or like a 'trippy psychedelic' picture. The palette also comes with a double ended brush that is actually pretty decent as well and I do use it for packing on color to my lids.

The Electric Palette

SWATCHES
These swatches are without primer and that color payoff alone is great! Although, I do highly recommend that you use a primer when using these so that they don't stain your skin.

BOOK HAUL!

Hello Lovelies!!

I know that this is a beauty blog, but I wanted to share with you all something else that I love, books! Reading is something that I do daily, you can always find me with my nose stuck in a book! I love the feeling of getting lost in books, feeling like you're in the books world, living through the characters, it's like living in someone else's life for a while.

These are books that I just got in today that I can't wait to read! These are books that I have not read before, so they are still new to me :)

The top row of books are the Divergent series minus the first book, Divergent; Insurgent, Allegiant and Four by Veronica Roth, I just finished reading the first book and loved it so I decided to buy the rest of the series. I will read this set first while Divergent is still in my head.

  Bottom Left to Right:

And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. I love Mr. Hosseini's books, he is highly known for his book, The Kite Runner, which was made into a movie a few years back. My favorite book by him is A Thousand Splendid Suns, it is so amazing and really opened my eyes to the type of things that women go through in Afghanistan even though it is fiction. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I haven't watched this movie yet because I wanted to read the book first, I didn't even know what it was until a friend of mine told me a bit about it. I love tear jerkers and I know this one, similar to My Sister's Keeper, will definitely live up to that.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I decided to finally jump on the Hunger Games bandwagon and pick up the first book. I have seen the first two movies and thought that they were okay, so I thought I would read the books. Books are always better than the movies, right?

Last but not least,

Where She Went by Gayle Forman. This is the second book in the If I Stay series, I read the first book a couple years ago and then recently they made a movie for it and I found out there was a second book and I was like, whaaaaaaaaat!!! I can't wait to read this one, the first one was so amazing and beautifully sad, I can't wait to see where she is at in her life. I can't wait to see if Mia and Adam stayed together after Mia woke up from her Coma in the first book.

BENEFIT BOX OF POWDER IN BELLA BAMBA DISCONTINUATION ALERT!

Hello Lovelies!

I was told today that Benefit's Bella Bamba blush is being discontinued and I wanted to get the alert out there! It is so far sold out ever where but Sephora and then of course it is most likely on Amazon and Ebay.
Worried that I would never get to try it I jumped on the computer and ordered it from Sephora, they didn't have just the blush (retail $28) but they had the full sized blush plus a deluxe sized sample of Benefit's Cha Cha Tint in a set called Hot 2 Trot for only one dollar more! If you want to purchase it before it is no longer available, Click here.
Benefit's Bella Bamba blush color is a watermelon pink.

IPSY BAG SEPTEMBER 2014

Hello Lovelies!

I love opening my mail box and seeing that bright pink bubble mailer in it! I don't know about you, but I always keep the mailer and reuse it! It is so perfect for mailing out gifts, or to trade beauty items!

First off, the make up bag we got this month is so cute! I love the little studs on it and I ill definitely be using this one!

 All my products from September!

Hikari Lipstick in Cabernet - rich red wine. This product is full sized and is worth $13!
I have not heard of this brand so it is awesome that Ipsy is using different brands.

Pacifica Pencil Eyeliner - Silver. This is about half the size of the full size eyeliner and is worth about $6.
I'm not a big pencil eye liner fan, but Pacifica's is surprisingly smooth and glides on nicely! It will be perfect for Christmas (Only 98 days away!).

Beauty Without Cruelty - BWC Premium Botanical Lotion in Sweet Lavender 2 FL OZ. The full size bottle is 16 Oz and costs $12.95, so this deluxe samples is worth about $2.50.
Another new brand! I love that they are cruelty free and I hope that we see some make up in the bags from this brand in the future!

Harvey Prince Hello Mini Rollerball 8.8 ML $21!!
SCORE! I love getting perfumes that aren't those little mini samples, getting a rollerball makes me giddy on the inside! I love the citrus smell that lasts for hours!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Smooth Criminal Powder

0.14 OZ RTV $12.
This is one brand I can't wait for Ipsy to stop sending out in the bags. I'm not a big fan of their products and generally don't use any of them.

This month's bag's worth is around $54.50!!! Honestly the worth doesn't matter to me as much as the products do!

Overall it was a decent bag, not my favorite but I am happy with it!

BIRCHBOX SEPTEMBER 2014

Hello Lovelies!

Today I have my September Birchbox! Birchbox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions; I have great months with them and then sometimes I have bad months with them, but I just can't let them go. I am one of those very few people that prefer Birchbox over Ipsy, I am more of quality over quantity and the products I get from Birchbox I tend to actually use. I also like their 'Bonus points system' over Ipsy's as well, instead of getting to pick only a couple of selected items, with Birchbox you can use your points to put towards buying anything in their shop, which is nice when you are buying more expensive products.

Want to join Birchbox? CLICK HERE!

September's Box! I am so happy with this box! I feel like the sizes were pretty great and almost all of the products are stuff I would use!

This month was their 4 year anniversary so they made a special box! I love the print, I wish they did stuff like this more often!

All of this month's products!

Davines Absolute Beautifying Conditioner 2.53 FL OZ
I actually hand-picked this sample, I love that Birchbox is giving their subscribers the chance to pick one of their samples!
I was actually surprised at how big the sample was and I am so happy with it, I have received this brand from Birchbox in the past and have liked everything I have tried so far!

Davines Absolute Beautifying Potion (hair oil) Foil Packet
I will admit, I HATE foil packets! But I can't complain about this one because it was an extra that came with the conditioner. Also I am happy with it because even though it was a bonus item I was still able to review it and get the 10 points for it!

Davines Absolute Beautifying Shampoo Foil Packet
Luckily there is just enough shampoo in this foil packet to use it twice for one washing, it is so annoying to get a foil packet of shampoo that you can only use once in the shower and then you have to use a different shampoo for the second wash. Again, this was an extra that came with the conditioner and I was able to review this one as well for 10 points.

Temptu Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer 0.1 Fl Oz
This is a cute little sample! I am so happy to finally get a highlighter in a subscription!! It seems like every time there is a highlighter, I never get it! The consistency on this was very nice and smooth and it is easy to blend! I can't wait to play with this more!

Avene Cleanance Soap-Free Gel Cleanser 1.69 Fl Oz
Another great sample size! I love cleansers (who doesn't!) so I was happy to see that I got this bad boy! I gave it a little test drive and it cleaned my face pretty good! I think it will work a lot better with a clarasonic or some kind of face cleansing machine.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum 0.06 Fl Oz
I haven't tried this yet but I am happy it has a better smelling scent than the eye cream I received from this brand a couple months ago.

Juliette Has A Gun Perfume Sample in Anyway
I have been wanted to try one of this brand's perfumes for quite awhile now, and sadly now that I have this one, I'm not sure I want to try the rest. It is so strong it gives me an instant headache and I had to toss it immediately.

Cards that came with the box!
I was sad that when I tried to use the 'BONUSBOX' code that it had already sold out! That went really fast!!!

Overall I am VERY happy with this box and can't wait for next month's box to get here!

Happy Anniversary Birchbox!
