BEAUTY BOX 5 X2

Hello Lovelies!

Last week I re-signed up for Beauty Box 5 because they were having a 'get your first month free' promo, and being me, there was no resisting free stuff! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the box got here, and even more surprised when I received not only September's box, but an August box as well! Two free boxes, SCORE!!!

If you don't know what Beauty Box 5 is, it is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you 5 deluxe sized samples, or full size products for $12 per month. If you would like to join Beauty Box 5, CLICK HERE.

Join Beauty Box 5 on or before September 30th and get August's box free with code UUXQGW   I'm not sure if this can only be used for one person or multiples people.

Now to the boxes!

AUGUST'S BOX:

Style Essentials Nail Polish, it doesn't have a name for the color but it is cute! RTV is $7 for a 4 polish collection ($1.75 per bottle)

Purliss Pur Protect SPF 30 0.5 fl oz
I have seen a lot of Purlisse in boxes, but this is actually the first time I have got one I think. I'm happy getting moisturizers, especially now that it is getting close to winter and my skin gets a bit drier.
RTV $55 for 1.7 fl oz
Sample RTV around $9.60

Nanacoco Lip Gloss in First Kiss
This is actually a nice gloss, it is pigmented like a lipstick but sticky like a gloss. The packaging is nice and gives it a more 'expensive' look even though it is cheap.
RTV $3.99

La Fresh Travel Lite Facial Cleansing Wipes, pack of 8 wipes.
I love cleansing wipes! They are so great, and perfect in travel size to keep in my purse for when I'm out and about or traveling.
Full size is 48 wipes for $19.99. Rtv for this sample is around $3.28

Novex Brazilian Keratin Conditioner 1.05 Fl OZ
My hair is pretty damaged so I love getting samples of conditioners or treatments. I'm excited to try this!
RTV 2lbs is $19.50
Sample RTV is around $0.60

August's Box's RTV is around $19.19

September's Box:

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Black
YAY for mascara's, especially full sized ones! I am and will probably forever be on the hunt for my holy grail mascara, so I will never get mad getting these in sample boxes!
RTV $7.99

My Beauty Spot Nail Polish.
Another polish with no name. I'm not much of a gold nail polish person, but I'm sure I will find use for this with accent nails.
RTV $24.99 for a collection of 6
RTV for single polish is about $4.16

Sally Hansen Toe Spacers
I'm honestly not super excited about these since they are such a cheap item and easily attainable, I would prefer not to get toe separators in a sample box.
RTV $1.99

Natural Style by FUBU x2 .5 fl oz each
These look really interesting to me, they are a deep conditioner (Yes!) & Co-wash. I am not a two in one person usually but the word 'deep conditioning' peeked my interest. I like that we were given two, since one isn't always enough for me.
RTV $9.99 12 FL Oz
RTV of samples is about $0.83

Nicka K New York Eyelight Crayon in Gold
These are nice for a quick and easy make up look. I like to keep eyeshadow crayons in my purse for just in case, you never know when you might be late and need some quick make up on the go.
RTV $4.49

Total RTV for September's Box is around $19,46

Overall the boxes are ok, definitely not my favorite subscription, I will give it one month and if I'm not impressed I will definitely be canceling.

Don't forget to subscribe / follow :)

Thank you!

The second item I got is a MASH Rhinestones 2400 Piece 12 color Nail art manicure wheel. This is so fun to play around with! With 12 different colors there are so many different ways to use them! You don't even need glue, just put them in the design of your choice and add a top coat! These were as well sent from Hong Kong and only cost $1.19 shipped! NEW $5 TARGET BEAUTY BOX REVIEW!!!

Hello everyone!
Today I (finally) received my $5 Target Beauty Box in the mail! I guess that they are thinking about jumping on the monthly subscription bandwagon and started by doing a one time box. I ordered my box 6 weeks ago and it felt like it took forever to get here, but it is here now and that is all I care about!

Here is what I got in my box!

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Pack in Sugarberry- I am so excited about this item! I opened it up right away just to smell it and let me tell you it smells amazing!! I am a firm Intuition lover so I cannot wait to see how I like this razor!
UPDATE: This was pretty good, my legs felt smooth but I still prefer my Shick Intuition over it.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo- I've heard a lot of good things about this for getting rid of acne, I break out every once in awhile so I'm looking forward to this item!

Fekkai Glossing Cream- This cream is supposed to add shine and eliminate frizz from your hair! This sample size is great at 2oz and I have as well heard many good things about this product!
UPDATE: After using this my hair did look shinier and my frizz went down a lot in the hot and humid air.

L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream- Finally I am getting a B.B. Cream in my color, which is light! Hopefully it actually looks light on my skin though. I have yet to find a B.B. cream that I like as well as matches my skin tone!
UPDATE: I really liked this at first, it was really light on my skin and seemed to work great. After a couple minutes my face turned orange -_- Why can I not find a BB cream that doesn't turn me into an Umpa Lumpa?!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in LUST-RUOS- I have tried Sally Hansen's nail strips in the past and I'm pretty sure that I did like them! Although, I would never buy them in just plain colors or with sparkles added on, that seems like a waste of money to me. I only purchase nail strips with designs on them, since I am artistically challenged at nail art lol!

Also included in the box is a coupon for $3 off any $15 beauty purchase at Target! Love this!!!!

Altogether I really do like this box, it has a great array of products with great sizes, even if there was two foil packets! The only thing I disliked was that it took so long to get to me but it was their first box and for $5 it was well worth it!!!

MANI MONDAY!

MANI MONDAY/NOTD

Hello Ladies!! I wanted to show you my nail strips that I have been wearing. I have actually had these on for three days so they are a little worn on the tips of my nails but besides that they have been holding up like champs! I am wearing the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in 'Animal Instinct'. I actually got these in my Insiders' Choice Box, can be seen here, and it came with two sets of these babies! These ones are really cute!! I love zebra print so I was excited when I got them and I like that they have sparkles in them! I like the pink although I would not have picked pink if I were out buying these because I do have bright red hair and my hair color tends to clash with anything pink. I have used Sally Hansen's nail polish strips a few times and I absolutely love them. I am artistically challenged so these are perfect for me! What kind of nails are you sporting today?

Insiders' Choice Box

Yay good news, my Insiders' Choice Box from Beauty Bar came in the mail today!
These are limited so I would get on it while you can! This box was only $15 and came with so much product, it was one of the best boxes I have received this month. It is not a monthly subscription, it is just something that Beauty Bar is hosting. So lets get to it, here is what the box looked like!

This box was FULL of product that I am so excited to try including:
Heidi Klum Shine Eau De Toilette .5 FL Retail $17
This does have a strong scent but goes down after a couple of minutes.
It is nice because the scent changes from a nice floral smell to a vanilla smell. It would be perfect for a night out. I love the bottle design, it is very cute and will go well in my perfume collection.

Sally Hansen Nail Effects Strips in Animal Instinct. These retail around $8.50 each. I was so surprised when I opened the box and there was not one but two sets in there! I love using these so it felt like an extra treat. I am addicted to zebra print and the pink adds an extra pop on the nails especially with the glitter added in. Although, I do not think that these last more than a couple of days; at least not on my fingernails.

Strivectin-TL Tightening Neck Cream .25 FL OZ Retails for about $12 in this size.
I have not tried this before or really need it at this point in my life but I will be giving it to a family member so I will let you know what she thinks of it =]

L'occitane Lavender Hand Cream 1 OZ Retail $10
This does have a strong lavender scent but not so much that it is too over powering. It has a nice silky smooth consistency and is not greasy.

L'OREAL Youth Code Serum retail $24.99 1 FL OZ
I probably will as well give this to a family member so I will let you know their review on this.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer in Neautralizer Retail $8.99
I am excited to try this; as a mom of a young child and a college student I do not always get the sleep I need so this will come in handy when I go out and have those dark under eye circles.
Supergoop SPF 30 Face and Body moisturizer 1.6 FL OZ Retail $14 on birchbox.com
I LOVE moisturizers! I have dry skin especially on my face so I love getting new moisturizers to try out. SCORE!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia Retail $7
I tried this out today and it is so nice! It is really buttery smooth and is very sheer. It has a bit of sparkle in it but not very much.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Neutral medium .11 FL OZ Retails around $10
I love this bottle it is so tiny and cute! It will be perfect for carrying around in my purse. I have seen many great reviews on this so I can't wait to try this out!

Burt's Bees Body Lotion 6 FL OZ Retail $7.99
This has a nice cocoa butter scent I like that it is not overpowering at all. It is really smooth and a great size!

L'OREAL Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in Black Noir Retail $8.95
I have already have one of these and I absolutely love it! It makes my eyelashes look thick and full. I'm happy it came in the box because I was planning on buying another one anyways!

This actually came as an extra for ordering from Beauty Bar, I guess they send out samples with every purchase so that is awesome! It is a Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer. As I have said before I love getting moisturizers because I have dry skin so I will definitely be using this!!

All in all I am very happy I ordered this box! $25 for over $100 in product is a great deal and I know that I will get use out of almost everything in it! I definitely recommend that you get in on this deal while it is still available at beautybar.com! Oh and another plus is that they are doing free 2 day shipping!!! I ordered this on Thursday the 19th and got it today, Saturday the 21st!

Have you tried any of these products? If you have what do you think of them?

*NOTD*

Well it is more like nails of the night. I have a bit of a sleeping problem so I am always usually awake at night time. I got bored and decided to paint my nails; I used a lot of fingernail polish remover taking off colors and putting new colors on. So here are two of the nail designs that I did. (Sorry about the pictures, I am in the process of getting a new camera and right now I only have the camera on my phone)

I know, I know, the colors don't match but I was bored having fun, and having fun is what it is all about!
These turned out so cute and it was definitely fun to do! Here is how I made this look...

So here is the step by step process:
You can use more than two colors, I just went with two colors for my first try.
The first step is to get a piece of cardboard or some kind of surface you don't mind having fingernail polish on such as a plate.
Poor a little puddle of your first fingernail polish out.
Take your second color and add a dot of it into the middle.
Take a Q-tip or tooth pick and spread the second color around to make the colors mix.
Put your nail in the fingernail polish and rub it in to get the color onto your nail.

I did not need a base coat, but once your nails dry you will still need a top coat so that your polish does not chip as easily.
This is messy so if you want you can put tape around your nails so that you don't get polish all over your fingers; I should have done that but of course I didn't so I made a huge mess lol.

NOTD =]

I will admit, I am addicted to fingernail polish. I have so many colors that I am sure they will go bad before I can use them all up. Today's nail colors are by Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in 'Mint Sorbet' with a top coat of Sally Hansen's Crackle Overcoat in 'Fractured Foil'.

(Flash)

I love this combination! Sorry for the sloppy nails, I was not finished but I was so excited I took pics right away lol. What nail color are you wearing today?

YAY FOR NEW FINGER NAIL POLISH!
Sally Hansen's new Magnetic nail color review!

I was at Target today and saw this in the cosmetics aisle. I thought that I might as well try it since I have heard good things about it. I got mine in 'Silver Elements'(Retail Price $8.99) You put on your first coat then when putting on the second coat do one fingernail at a time; after painting a fingernail you take the lid of the polish and put the magnet up to your nail and the wave appears in just seconds. It is so easy to do and makes nails look great. This is now a must have in my nail polish collection, so I will be going back for more!
