JULEP MAVEN AUGUST BOX!

Hello Ladies!!
I got my August Julep Maven Box in the mail!
I am so excited about this box because the nail polish colors are chrome and I love chrome colors! I decided to stay with the Bombshell Maven box and since this is my first actual box besides my intro box I got to pick a free add on!
Here is what came in my August box!!

I am loving my Julep box for the month of August! I think that $19.99 is a great deal for 3 polishes, a nail polish remover, and a cute little tote bag!
The nail polish colors I received are Kim gunmetal grey metallic, Harley liquid silver metallic chrome, and Melanie pastel indigo metallic chrome! I love all three colors and I am excited to try them out!
The nail polish remover works really well, I already tried it to remove my elf chocolate nail polish and it took it all of the color off, there wasn't a spot of dark brown left on my nail so I really love that! The nail polish remover is also reusable and you can travel with it easily because it came with a cap for the remover so that you do not always have to have the pump in. I am always needing nail polish remover so this product is an A++ for me!
Julep also gave out these really adorable small tote bags! I really like the tote bag because it is not overly large and it will be perfect for taking it on a plane, which if you did not know I travel across the country a lot to see my family, they would also be really good for using as lunch bags!

I am definitely going to continue my monthly Julep Subscription, I love nail polish and they have done a really good job, plus I really love their nail polishes as well as the extra products that have been in the bags!

Do you want to join Julep and become a Maven? Here is a link for you to sign up!

Are you already a Julep Maven? If you are, which box did you get?!

MYGLAM BAG JULY

YAY good news I got my July Myglam Bag!!! This is only my second bag but I think I signed up at the perfect timing because both the June and July bags have been amazing!! Lets get started with what was all in the bag!

As usual the bag came in the metallic pink packaging (not pictured) and inside was the post cards with all the information on the products that you received. There is a note card introducing the Andrea's Choice nail polish that actually has a sticker on it, cute if you have kids they love stickers! The last note card is a Nume note card that has coupon codes. I will not be using them so if you would like to use them here are the deals. $49 for a set of Hydro Punch or Pure Remedy Products MGLAM405387547 and a 50% off any products on http://www.numestyle.com/ MG194243561

Now to the good part!! The theme of the July bag is 'Beach Beauty' and was nothing less than amazing, I got exactly what I was wanting so I am a very happy camper. I also loved that I have not tried any of the products in the bag previously so I am excited to try out new items. The bag itself was cute and perfect for the summer; it is a mesh bag so you can take it to the beach or even in the shower. Also the bag did not stink at all like last months bag did!

The first item I pulled out of the bag were the Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes.
I wasn't sure if I was going to try these right away because I got my hair colored a few days ago and I ended up being allergic to the hair dye so my face and neck are both covered in a rash, just my luck! I decided to try them out anyways and like it says on the package they are very soothing! They did not irritate my skin where I was rashed out, they actually comforted it, so I will be buying these in a full size!

The second item I pulled out of the bag was the Circus by Andrea's Choice Nail Color.
Omg the packaging of this is so adorable!! The nail polish comes in a plastic tube case which is something that I have never seen before so that was really new and cute to see. I am not sure if Andrea herself designed the packaging but whoever did design it did an amazing job! I got the yellow nail polish in Somersault. Thank you Myglam Gods, it was like they knew I wanted the yellow!! I have a few white polishes already and only had one yellow polishes but it is old and needs to go into that garbage, so thank you Myglam for sending the yellow one to me! I tried this product out as well; I had to use 3 coats for the color to be solid. It is a little bit streaky but since it is new they might still be changing the formula. Overall I do like this product, the packaging has won me over it is to die for.

The third product I got was the Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer.
I honestly would have been happy by getting either of the "OR" products in this selection. The other product was a Kiehl's facial lotion. I have not tried this product yet, I am waiting for my face to become rash free first and then I will try it out on the beach!

The fourth item I got was the Nume Hydro Punch Hydrating Conditioner.
I love conditioner, especially new conditioners because my hair is thick and a bit damaged from dying my hair for over the past 10 or so years. I am planning on trying this out tonight so hopefully it goes well and I like it!

The last product I got, *drum roll please*, was the Bare Escentuals Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Leslie. I was over the moon when I saw that this was in my bag, mostly everyone wanted the stain but I was set on wanting this lipgloss. Even if I would have got the stain I knew a few people that would have switched with me, so that was nice to know. I have already fallen in love with this gloss, it is a lip plumping gloss so your lips will get that numbing feeling. The color is a sheer sparkly pink, I love pink glosses so this color was perfect for me! The gloss is not super sticky so that is a positive in my book. Overall I would buy this product again.
Here is a swatch of the Buxom Lip Polish

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this months bag I give it an A+++! Everything was sealed, minus the lipgloss, and I really appreciate when items are sealed! I love getting deluxe travel sized items because I fly a lot from one end of the country to the next every couple months or so.
Myglam bag is only $10 a month for at least 4 items, I would definitely recommend this subscription to anyone. They have been doing so great the past two months, I cannot wait to get some sneak peaks of next months bag! If you would like to join the Myglam Bag Subscription you can sign up at http://www.myglam.com/ I think there currently is a wait list but I think getting into this subscription is worth the wait!

*NOTD*

Well it is more like nails of the night. I have a bit of a sleeping problem so I am always usually awake at night time. I got bored and decided to paint my nails; I used a lot of fingernail polish remover taking off colors and putting new colors on. So here are two of the nail designs that I did. (Sorry about the pictures, I am in the process of getting a new camera and right now I only have the camera on my phone)

I know, I know, the colors don't match but I was bored having fun, and having fun is what it is all about!
These turned out so cute and it was definitely fun to do! Here is how I made this look...

So here is the step by step process:
You can use more than two colors, I just went with two colors for my first try.
The first step is to get a piece of cardboard or some kind of surface you don't mind having fingernail polish on such as a plate.
Poor a little puddle of your first fingernail polish out.
Take your second color and add a dot of it into the middle.
Take a Q-tip or tooth pick and spread the second color around to make the colors mix.
Put your nail in the fingernail polish and rub it in to get the color onto your nail.

I did not need a base coat, but once your nails dry you will still need a top coat so that your polish does not chip as easily.
This is messy so if you want you can put tape around your nails so that you don't get polish all over your fingers; I should have done that but of course I didn't so I made a huge mess lol.
