April Julep It Girl Box!

Hello Lovelies!

For the first time in a long time, I opted to receive my Julep box! I tend to opt out pretty much every month when it comes to Julep because I find it some what expensive ($20 per month). I haven't fully canceled because I hate that you have to call in to do it, I wish that they would give us a cancel button! This month totally pulled me in though, and to my luck I had 2400 'points', which means that I got a free box, 2000 pts = 1 free box! Then I used the extra 400 pts to get a free add on item!

Here is what I got in my April box!

Nail Polish in Drew
This polish is the main reason why I decided to get this box, I wish the color would have shown up better in the picture! It is a pinky red, and just absolutely beautiful! Julep brought this color 'back from the vault' for this month. I actually wish that I would have got an extra of this color, I love it so much!

Nail Polish in Cassidy
This color is perfect for summer! I am a huge blue polish lover!

The beauty item this month got me pretty excited as well, it is called 'Don't Leave Your Brows At Home' in Taupe and is obviously an eyebrow 'powder', they say powder but it is a cream. I like that it is travel friendly and that it is an 'all in one' type of product.

With my extra 400 points I added this Clean Slate Polish Corrector Pen.
There wasn't much of an option in the 400 point range to pick through, but I was happy with this because I am a horribly messy nail painter! They also include 3 extra applicators, that you can see in the clear holding case :)

There was also a little packet of gobstopper candy, but surprise, surprise, I ate it before I took pictures haha!

Overall, I am very happy with this box! I would rate it a 10/10! I cannot tell you how happy I am to get the Drew polish and will probably be stalking the nail polish groups on Facebook for an extra...or 2!

JULEP MAVEN AUGUST BOX!

Hello Ladies!!
I got my August Julep Maven Box in the mail!
I am so excited about this box because the nail polish colors are chrome and I love chrome colors! I decided to stay with the Bombshell Maven box and since this is my first actual box besides my intro box I got to pick a free add on!
Here is what came in my August box!!

I am loving my Julep box for the month of August! I think that $19.99 is a great deal for 3 polishes, a nail polish remover, and a cute little tote bag!
The nail polish colors I received are Kim gunmetal grey metallic, Harley liquid silver metallic chrome, and Melanie pastel indigo metallic chrome! I love all three colors and I am excited to try them out!
The nail polish remover works really well, I already tried it to remove my elf chocolate nail polish and it took it all of the color off, there wasn't a spot of dark brown left on my nail so I really love that! The nail polish remover is also reusable and you can travel with it easily because it came with a cap for the remover so that you do not always have to have the pump in. I am always needing nail polish remover so this product is an A++ for me!
Julep also gave out these really adorable small tote bags! I really like the tote bag because it is not overly large and it will be perfect for taking it on a plane, which if you did not know I travel across the country a lot to see my family, they would also be really good for using as lunch bags!

I am definitely going to continue my monthly Julep Subscription, I love nail polish and they have done a really good job, plus I really love their nail polishes as well as the extra products that have been in the bags!

*MANI MONDAY* Plus a review on my Julep Maven Intro Box!

Before doing a review on my first Julep Maven box which was the Julep Maven Bombshell intro box, let's take a look at my nails shall we?

The colors I used for today's look where Natasha (Orange) and Oscar (Gold Glitter) from my Julep Maven intro box.
I am not completely 100% over the moon with Julep Maven, don't get me wrong they are great but I need a them to 'wow' me a little bit more.

Things that I like about the Julep subscription are:
The overall packaging for the box is cute and put together well.
I love the bottles that the nail polish are in, they are sleek and very cute.
I like that the cap to the fingernail polish is square, it provides a better grip when painting your nails.
I absolutely love the, 'The Best Pedi Creme Ever' that came in my intro box. It helped smooth out my dry summer feet fast.
The intro box was only a penny so how can anyone pass up that deal?
(If you would like to sign up for an intro box here is my referral link http://julep.com/?r=22275415, make sure you use the code PENNY at checkout)
They ship incredibly fast! I live all the way across the country and I received my bag after only 3 days!

I can only think of three con's for this subscription which are the polishes are rather small and the price for the subscription is $19.99 after your intro box.
The third con is that I did not particularly like the Natasha (orange) polish but for only a penny I can definitely deal with that lol!

July Julep Maven Intro Box - Bombshell

I am so excited for my first box to come in! I was even more excited because my first box only cost me $0.01!! You can get it for $0.01 too, here is my referral link if you would like to try Julep out =] http://julep.com/?r=22275415
Also when checking out use the code PENNY to get your intro box for only 1 cent!!

Julep is a monthly subscription that costs $19.99 per month and you get fingernail polish, pedicure products, lip gloss, etc. As a Julep Maven you also get 20% off of all orders placed on their website!

My first impression of this box was that it was good packaging; I like that they do not make it overly difficult to open. They take the time to make the inside cute with wrapping up their products  as well as adding a ribbon to it, and putting the little crinkled decorative paper on the inside.

In my intro box I received
The Best Pedi Creme Ever! (2 FL, Retail $22)
It smells like cucumber and mints, which I love! It isn't strong so I do like that.
Two fingernail polishes
Natasha- A nice orange-reddish color (.27 FL, Retail $14)
Oscar- Glitter Gold (.27 FL, Retail $14)
The last thing that I received, that I also did not know that I was getting is a set of the toe separators for when you paint your toe nails! I am excited about these because I needed to get some but never remembered when I was at the store. So far I give my Julep subscription an A+; awesome products and only 1cent this month.
I am not sure how much the toe separators cost but without those the total retail cost of this bag was $50!! Such an amazing deal =]
