OCTOBER BEAUTY BOX 5! + FREE BOX CODE!

Hello Lovelies!!!

I got my October Beauty Box 5 in the mail today! If you don't know what Beauty Box 5 is, it is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you samples every month for $12 per box. BB5 is one of my least favorite boxes but I'm still on the fence on if I want to cancel it or not.

Want to subscribe to Beauty Box 5, Click Here. Get a free box with code FREEBOX2

October's Box

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek and Lip Stain in Pink Full Size! RTV $19.99
I don't think I have ever received a product from this brand, so new things are always great to try, that is why I've subbed to these boxes! I will definitely be using this balmy stain on my lips with a gloss on top!

Swatch

Extend Your Beauty Cosmetic Tool Full Size! RTV $5.49
I have been wanting one of these for awhile, it is a little spatula that you use to scoop that last little bit of product out that is hard to get too. I don't think I would pay $6 for one though, so I'm happy to get one in a box!

Nanacoco Nail Polish in Mermaid Lake, Full Size! RTV $3.95
I just moved across the country and left all of my nail polish behind so I love getting polishes in these as I only have a few here. I am a blue polish hoarder so this was awesome!

Chapstick Hydration Lock, Full Size! RTV $2.99
Usually I'm not a fan of getting items that are easily found at the drugstore, but I have not been able to find this one, only the raspberry lemonade one. So this Chapstick was welcomed in my box.

Last but not least,
Lashem Picture Perfect 0.17 fl oz Sample RTV about $1.29. Full size is 0.5 fl oz RTV $3.95.
This is another new brand for me I think, I can't remember using anything from them before.
This is a wrinkle reducer, but it says that if you don't have wrinkles it can also be used as a face primer.

This month's card!

Boxes total RTV $33.71

Overall I am happy with this box, two of the products were items that I wanted, and the rest are items that I will use. Since I liked this box, I will stay subbed for next month's! YAY BB5!

Don't forget to Subscribe :)

Thank you!

IPSY MARCH 2014

Hello Lovelies!

It is that time of the month, my Ipsy bag is here! If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription that costs $10 per month and they send you 4-5 beauty items that will either be samples, deluxe samples or even full sized! Want to join Ipsy, CLICK HERE.

Here are the items I got in my March Ipsy:

This months bag was created by an artist in California, I think it is great the Ipsy is working with local artists! The bag isn't my cup of tea personally, don't get me wrong I love art, just not this kind..

Nicole by O.P.I. Roughless Sand Polish in On What Grounds? I haven't been very big on the sand polish craze, but I am willing to give this a try because it is a really pretty blue that is perfect for the Spring!

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer 0.4 FL OZ This primer has a bit of a bronze tint to it so I'm a little hesitant to try it due to the fact that I could be Snow White's long lost sister in the pale department. I do like the Pixi brand from what I have tried though, so I will be trying this on a day when I don't have plans just to make sure it doesn't clash with my skin tone.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready. I actually like this lipstick color! It is one of the only lip colors that Ipsy has sent that I can wear! Yay!!

Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow quad in Bora Bora. The colors are pretty but unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of this brand or the ingredients in their products. I wish Ipsy wouldn't put their products in their bags every single month...

*DIY* MAKE YOUR OWN NAIL POLISH!

Hello everyone!
Lately I have been wanting to do some kind of small DIY project, so I decided to make my own nail polish. It is actually VERY easy! All you need is a clear polish, I'm using an elf Cosmetics one, an eyeshadow color of your choice, I picked the Whip Hand L.E. Loose Pigment in Special Forces. This is a sample I got in a Beauty Army box awhile back, I actually received to of them so that is the only reason I decided to use this one for the polish because it is a beautiful gold! The last two items you will need is a q-tip to help mix your polish and a piece of paper to put all your stuff on top of just in case you make a mess.
The first thing you want to do is crush up your eyeshadow if you are using a pressed shadow, you can use a toothpick for this step. Then you just pour the eyeshadow into your clear nail polish and mix it together with the q-tip or even with the polish brush! I told you it was very simple! I recommend shaking it like crazy for a minute!

Here are some pictures I took while making my polish!

This is 3 coats of the polish and I absolutely love the gold! It also gives off a little bit of a texture, which reminds me of the sand polish. I cannot wait to try this with other colors! I am planning on buying a lot of red eye shadow so I can make the perfect red polish!

MAY IPSY BAG!!!!

Hello everyone!!
I finally got my May Ipsy bag! I feel like I am one of the last people to get it but I am so excited to finally get it in my hands and to see what variation of products I got! If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription that costs only $10 per month. Every month you get a bag with beauty goodies in it, 4-5 items usually. Ipsy has to be one of my favorite beauty subs because you really get your money's worth! Want to join Ipsy? Click HERE.

Here is what came in my May bag!

Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Luminizing Body Butter: I actually already have one of these so I am going to put it in my giveaway bag! (Click HERE to see the giveaway and join in!)

Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-On: I am so excited about this item, I really wanted it and was crossing my fingers hoping I would get it and I did!! Woohoo Thank you Ipsy!!!

Zoya Professional Lacquer in Blu: Believe it or not this is actually my first Zoya polish ever lol! I tried this out and I liked that it dried within seconds of applying it!

Yaby Concealer in Pecan: I am putting this in the giveaway as well because I am so pale, like I look like snow white! I'm hoping that it will benefit someone else!

Juice Beauty Lipgloss in Pink: Yes! I am so excited that I got a gloss and not a lipstick, I am more of a gloss person than a lipstick person so I am super stoked about this!

And Last but not least......

I got an extra item this month for contributing to Ipsy's site, even though I don't so I'm pretty sure they just put it in random bags lol

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Moonspoon! These eyeshadows retail for $20 each so that is crazy that they put these in bags as extras! This alone pays for 2 bags! This will actually also be going to my giveaway because I do not wear silver eyeshadow often! So take a chance and try and win it! Again the link for the giveaway is HERE.

All together I give Ipsy an A+ for this months bag! All items are full sized!! My bag's retail value came out to $66.85!! That is absolutely amazing!

KBSHIMMER BATH & BODY NAIL POLISH REVIEW!

I was browsing the Internet a few days ago and came across a blog that had swatches of some polishes by KBSHIMMER and I thought that they were absolutely adorable so  I decided to buy a polish and try it out! The polish I decided on was 'Let's Get Star-ted' which is a creamy white with purple and blue glitter as well as some stars! I only bought one polish because when I am trying out a new company online I don't like to go crazy and buy a bunch because I do not know if I will like their brand. The polish cost's $8.75 + $2.41 Shipping & handling making the total $11.16.

Now for the polish!

(Sorry I didn't do a clean up of my nails before taking pictures lol)

I absolutely love the look of this nail polish, it is so adorable! I'd only had it on for a few hours and had received a ton of compliments on it, even from my dad and you know how oblivious men can be to 'women' things like nail polish! ;)

I achieved the perfect nail color after 3 coats. Although, even with the three coats I wanted more stars so I dug the brush around the bottle a bit to get some extra ones.

I also have to say that I really like the label on the bottle, it's etched glass with a nice cursive script, it also has a couple of flowers etched into it!

The only thing I disliked about this polish was that it did take awhile to dry, which can be annoying when you have stuff to do and end up hitting your nails on something and then having to re-paint a nail.

Want your own bottle of KBSHIMMER nail polish, CLICK HERE.

All together I give this nail polish a B-

Loves: colors, stars, packaging, nice brush, fast shipping

Dislikes: slow drying, a little expensive

CRAVEBOX GIRLS NIGHT IN!

CRAVEBOX GIRLS NIGHT IN!

Hello everyone!! I am so excited, I got my very first Cravebox! I like this company because you can decide by the title and clues what kind of box it is and whether or not you want to purchase it! As soon as I saw the Girls Night In I knew that I wanted it! This box cost $14 and I have to say that I am amazed at the quality of the products!

The first item I saw in the box was this bottle of fruit2o in Strawberry. I have actually purchased this brand of flavored water multiple times in the past and will continue to purchase it as an alternative to drinking soda.
Retail for individual is around $1.

Hills Bro's Cappuccino mix in French Vanilla!
This is another product that I regularly purchase and love! I actually have not ever bought this flavor, I usually get the Double Mocha, but this is sooo good!! (Go Hawks!!)
Retail price $3.24.

Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm in Fresh Plum.
I like that this is very tinted as you can tell and it it very smooth, I can feel it hydrating my lips!
Retail price $8.99

Zaca Recovery Patch 2 pack
I think these are pretty cool, I don't go out drinking too often but these will be nice for the morning after drunk bowling lol
Retail price for 2 is about $7.93

I made my mom model  the scarf for you =]
This scarf is a breast cancer awareness item, it is really beautiful and thin so it is perfect for Spring!

Tree Hut Renewing Hand Cream in Moroccan Rose 3 OZ.
This literally smells AMAZING!! I wish that you could scratch and sniff the computer to smell this! I keep opening it up to smell it and randomly smelling my hands, I'm sure people that are around me think that I am crazy lol!

Two nail polishes from The Mindy Project and New Girl and a nail file board! It is only one file with pictures on the front and back. The Mindy Project is a really pretty sparkly purple and the New Girl is a very creamy light pink! I love that these shows are promoting themselves in a different way by using nail polish and nail files! That is way better than commercials and advertisements in magazines!

Last but not least a $50 Wine 'Gift Card'.
I actually got one of these in my Goodies box this month too so I made the code visible so that if anyone wants to take it they can have it!

Overall this box was absolutely amazing! I thought it was well worth the $14 price and can't wait to get another Cravebox in the future!

MAY BEAUTY ARMY BOX!

MAY BEAUTY ARMY BOX!!

Hello everyone!! So before I start I just want to apologize and say that I will be using pictures from the Beauty Army site today, when I got the box I got a little excited and opened stuff up. It also didn't help that I am visiting my mom while I  and she decided that she wanted a couple of the items I got. This month's box came with 8 products instead of the usual 6 because there was a couple of mess ups in my last box.

Without further ado, here is what came in my May box:

This was such an awesome box!! I know that a lot of people do not like getting tea in their box but I really enjoyed both of these flavors! As soon as I opened the box I made the Vanilla Bean tea, I am definitely going to purchase a box of it!
I am also going to purchase a box of the chocolate tea because it is so yummy!
I personally am not a fan of the Nelson J Argan Oil Shampoo, only because I don't like how it doesn't foam up; the reason I picked it was because my mom loves it so I decided to be a good daughter and get it for her!

I will show you one 'in person' picture of the NAILUV polish

This color is a very pretty bright and vibrant pink! The only downside to getting this is that you need to have an LED lamp in order to use it. I didn't want to swatch it on my nail, but I am going to go pick me up an LED light and I will update with some photos!

Overall I absolutely love Beauty Army and have been subscribed to them for awhile and will continue my subscription. I love that no matter what you get 6 items and you get to pick those items and the products always come in a cute box (I hoard them lol)! I also love that if you do not like the options  for samples you can skip a month, which you cannot do with most beauty subscriptions, so for $12 per month I am a happy girl! If you would like to sign up for Beauty Army you can click HERE.

APRIL BIRCHBOX!

APRIL BIRCHBOX!

I finally got my Birchbox in the mail today! I feel like I am the last person to get it this month lol If you don't know what Birchbox is, it is a monthly beauty subscription that costs $10 a month and you get 4/5 beauty samples and usually a lifestyle extra! Want your own Birchbox, click Here

The items that came in my Birchbox this month are:
Number 4 Non Aerosol Hair Spray (1.45 Fl Oz): This is a very good sample size in my opinion for hairspray and another hair product that I can keep in my purse for while I'm out! It has a nice cologne scent to it and I really like that instead of a pure alcohol smell.

Whish Shave Cream in Blueberry (0.5 Fl Oz): This shaving cream smells amazing, but sadly I am allergic to blueberries and I won't risk using it so I will be giving it to my mom; she will be happy lol

Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On (0.5 Fl Oz): This was my lifestyle extra this month, it is a really nice lifestyle extra compared to the Larabars I have to say! This is used to help reduce puffiness and wake up tired eyes. <3 Yes love this!

Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish in Peony (0.25 Fl Oz): This is a 'mini' size but still a great size for a nail polish! What is really cool about this nail polish is that it changes colors! When you are inside it is a peach color and outside it is red! That is awesome and I am excited to try it out!

Supergoop! CC Cream (3ml): This is a tiny little guy but so cute, I love how cute tiny samples look haha It is in the color light to medium and as you can tell from the swatch on my hand it is a little dark for my skin tone but I'm sure once I rub it in and blend it out it will work fine.

This month's box also included a free year subscription to Women's Health magazine!
